A Sunday morning social ride with Coffee & Bikes. This Sunday, March 27th we will meet at the Pioneer Memorial Obelisk located at Hermann Park. The Pioneer Memorial granite obelisk, located on Molly Ann Smith Plaza between the Jones Reflection Pool and McGovern Lake, honors the early pioneers who founded Houston. The monument was placed in Hermann Park in 1936 to celebrate the centennial of Texas Independence. It was created by a German Immigrant, Frank A. Teich, who came to the U.S. in 1878.
